Shipping & Returns

SHIPPING AND HANDLING

We do our best to provide cost effective, reliable, traceable shipping solutions. Orders generally ship out every weekday. Depending on workload, it typically takes 1-3 days to process and ship an order. Complex orders such as ignition kits, EFI conversion kits, throttle body kits, or other items requiring items tailored, customized, or assembled to your application will have additional lead time, typically posted on the product information page or communicated during the ordering process. You will be notified if there is an unexpected delay in shipping your order. 

We have implemented UPS and DHL a typical carrier for deliveries.  UPS is used for domestic and international shipments, and DHL Express for international shipments.

Clewett Engineering reserves the right to change shipping companies, including to carrires other than UPS or DHL, if needed for any reason.

Clewett Engineering reserves the right to revise shipping costs if the website calculator is inaccurate.

TOTAL SHIPPING COSTS

Shipping costs are directly related to the size & weight of the package. In addition, we factor in an additional amount to cover packing materials, and any special handling considerations that may be required to ship the package. We try to keep the cost of delivering your items to you at the actual and optimal cost.

Charges are calculated based on the item's value, weight, HTS code, and country-specific laws. The website calculator is fairly accurate for most orders, but Clewett Engineering reserves the right to review and adjust shipping charges or change shipping carriers at any time.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

Shipping costs for international shipments do not include duties, taxes, fees, tariffs or similar additional charges involved in import/export to another country. Shipments will be DDU (delivery duty unpaid) unless otherwise arranged ahead of time.
The recipient is the "importer of record" and responsible for all taxes, duties, and customs fees.

Packages may be held in customs, causing delays beyond estimated delivery times. We will always do our best to facilitate efficient customs clearance, but often the customs process requires input from the recipient/importer of record.

If the buyer refuses to pay taxes and the package is abandoned or returned for this reason or other reasons outside of Clewett Engineering's control, the buyer is liable for all related incurred costs. Clewett Engineering will not be responsible for the losses, product, or shipping refunds.

SHIPPING DAMAGE OR LOSS CLAIMS

Damage or lost package claims must be made within 14 days of receipt of the package. Contact a Clewett Engineering representative by e-mail or phone to initiate the claim. After 14 days have passed, we cannot be responsible for partial or full damage or loss of an order. The shipping carriers will not cover claims past a certain timeframe.

RETURNS

Please contact a Clewett Engineering Sales Representative by e-mail or phone to cancel or return an order. All returns must have a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number to be processed and potentially refunded.

Items must be in new unused condition, clean original packaging with original paperwork. There are no returns on electrical components and sensors, tools, or special order items. Returns are not accepted through fax, or voicemail message.

Returns are subject to a 20% restocking and/or repackaging fee. Authorization to return a product expires after 14 days. Clewett Engineering is not responsible to provide proof of purchase 90 days after the order date.

International returns are not accepted except for special circumstances and may be subject to extra processing or handling fees.
